BOLSO CASI ACABADO ...

Un post rápido para deciros que casi acabé el bolso, solo me falta coser las asas y ponerle un forro, aunque en la foto parezca que está acabado. Tenía que acabarlo antes de irme de vacaciones, para poder empezar otra cosa,  ya de invierno, que voy con retraso. En cuanto vuelva os pondré fotos de lo nuevo que estoy haciendo. Feliz verano a todos, y que disfruteis de vuestras vacaciones los que como yo las empeceis ahora. Nos vemos a la vuelta

A quick post to tell you that I almost finished my purse, I just have to sew the handles. I had to finish it before I go on vacation. As soon as I come back I will post my new knitting proyects. Happy summer to everybody. See you back.

LA FLOR ENCONTRÓ SU SITIO

Tenía esta flor hecha a partir de un patrón de Heather Bailey y no sabía muy bien que hacer con ella porque era un poco grande para un broche, asi que ha estado pululando por varios sitios de la casa durante más de un año. El otro día estaba doblando ropa y encontré esta camiseta blanca de mi hija, y se me ocurrió que necesitaba algun adorno porque estaba muy sosa... y alli estaba la flor, encima de la mesa. La cosí en el centro y este es el resultado. A mi hija Amalia le encantó, y por fin la flor encontró su sitio.

I had this flower made out of a Heather Bailey pattern, and didn´t know what to do with it, I thought it was to big for a clasp, so it was sitting around the house for over a year. The other day I was folding the laundry and I found this white T-shirt and thought it needed something to cheer it up... and  the flower was there over the table. I atached it to the neckline and that was it. Mi daughter Amalia loved it and finally the flower found it place.

EL ARBOL BLANCO

ARBOL DE JORDI CANOSA, revista Habitania

Hace años vi en la revista Habitania una foto de un árbol diferente de Navidad, del fotografo de interiorismo y arquitectura Jordi Canosa. Este árbol creado por la estilista Daniela Cavestany, , era un árbol blanco, sin hojas, solo ramas, y me encantó, asi que decidí que iba a hacer uno lo más parecido posible, pero cuando llegaba Navidad nunca conseguía encontrar unas ramas por ahí que me sirvieran para hacerlo y siempre acababa poniendo el arbol verde de toda la vidad con unas bolas de Ikea.

Years ago I saw in a magazine called Habitania a unique Christmas tree created by the interior design and architecture photographer Jordi Canosa, it was a white tree with no leaves, just branches, and I loved it, so I decided I would do one as close as possible, but when Christmas time came up I never found some branches out there that serve me to do it and always ended up setting the traditional green tree with Ikea ornaments.

Este año por fin tuve mi oportunidad. Tenía un tronco que me traje de un paseo por el campo, le hice unos agujeros con una broca y le inserté unas ramas. Lo pinté todo de blanco y !listo!. Luego lo adorné con unas luces,unas guirnaldas y unas piedrecitas. Quedó tan bonito que se quedó para siempre en el salón. Ahora en vez de las guirnaldas tiene unos candeleros con velas hechos de papel,. Y cuando me canse tendrá fotos en blanco y negro sujetas con pinzas como el original... y asi irá cambiando hasta que llegue otra vez navidad...

This year I finally had my chance. I had a trunk that I brought back from a walk in the forest, I made some holes and inserted a few branches. I painted all white and !Ready to go!. Then I decorated it with lights, garlands and some stones. It came out so nice that he stayed forever in the living room. Now instead of garlands it has some candlesticks made of paper. And when  I get tired it will hold black and white photos as the original ... and so on until Christmas comes again ...
